Dirtbag
Dave O'Leske (2017)
Fred Beckey is the legendary American 'Dirtbag' mountaineer whose name has evoked mystery, sarcasm and adulation since the 1940s. His stubborn determination to climb one peak after another was translated into a solitary life on the road, where he left a trail of furious climbing partners and abandoned lovers. At the age of 94 he is still obsessed by the mountains and plans ambitious expeditions, but the man who once cavorted over the rock and ice now has to come to terms with everyday life. The story of this athletic rebel, who inspired generations of climbers with his monumental first ascents and impassioned books, is recounted for the first time.- 2017

Skiing Everest
Les Guthman (2009)
Filmed by Mike Marolt over ten years, 'Skiing Everest' tells the story of a group of close friends, lead by Mike Marolt and his twin brother Steve, who grew up in Aspen, Colorado and went on to become the first Americans to ski from above 8,000 meters (26,247 ft.) when they skied from the summit of Shisha Pangma in Tibet in 2000, and then challenged the highest slopes in the world on Mt. Everest. The film also tells the history of high altitude skiing, dating back to the 1930s; and includes interviews with Hans Kammerlander, who was the first to ski from the summit of Everest; Laura Bakos, the first woman to ski from the summit of an 8,000 m. peak; and Chris Davenport, the two-time world extreme skiing champion.- 2009

Limi
Ulysse Lefebvre (2019)
On the borders of Nepal and Tibet lie a series of mountain ranges that remain largely untouched. Blank areas, as geographers like to call them; expanses of pastel shading applied by mapmakers to depict the unknown. Proof that there are still corners of the vast Himalayan chain, home to the world's highest mountains, where the inquisitive alpinist can find untrodden sanctuaries to explore. A small group of mountaineers trek for twelve days through unspoiled landscapes and unexpected encounters to set up their base camp and attempt snow-capped peaks on Limi mountain. As the journey progresses, the film questions these peregrinations, mountaineering becoming a pretext for exploration.Ulysse Lefebvre, François Damilano

Himalayan Ice
Ari Novak (2019)
In December 2018, alpinists Ari Novak and Karsten Delap set out for India to explore one of the most remote valleys in the Indian Himalaya with local climber Karn Kowshik. Their goal was to meet with the indigenous population of the Spiti Valley and try to support local ice climbing. What they found was perhaps the biggest treasure trove of unclimbed ice in all the Himalaya. Himalayan Ice tells the history-making story of their journey to put up 9 first ascents and start an ice climbing movement by the local population. From their journey to the valley along the most treacherous road on earth to walking amongst Snow Leopards, the expedition was anything but expected.- 2019

Gone tomorrow
Mike Wilkinson (2019)
Nearly every winter for just a brief moment, in Kentucky there are more frozen waterfalls than anywhere else in the lower 48 states, maybe even the whole world. For the last 40 years, small groups of dedicated adventurers have been searching out and climbing this ice with a determined passion, because they know if it’s climbable today, it’ll probably be gone tomorrow. This adventure documentary takes the audience for a ride deep into the bushy hollers of Appalachia with a crew of harmless misfits as they race to search out and climb new ice routes before they're gone.- 2019
