Bartolomeo Peyrot

Il Primo Italiano sul Monviso

In 1862 Bartolomeo Peyrot was the first Italian to reach the summit of Monviso, the mountain famous also because with its 3841 meters of height it overlooks the sources of the Po. Now a film remembers the story of this mountain man from Borgo Pellice (To) who accompanied the English Francis Fox Tuckett and his guides Michel Croz and Peter Perren, in the second absolute ascent of the mountain.
