Raymond Renaud was born in the high Alps, facing Mont Pelvoux, which inspired him to become a mountaineer, and thus the beginning of his adventure as a guide was born. La Meije taught him everything and insatiable, he trained to climb to prepare his future races in the Himalayas from 1972 to 1980 where he climbed, among others, the southwest pillar of the Dhaulagiri.
