The documentary shows mountaineering scenes in the area of Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, and the Matterhorn presenting beautiful images of people practicing mountain climbing but without the purpose of narrating a concrete ascent. First we see a group of five roped mountaineers progressing on the glacier using ice axes and crossing a wide crack with the help of a ladder. Then, the action moves to another area of the mountain through aerial images taken from an airplane and shows the progression of a rock climber through a rocky spur.
