The controversial mountain film maker looks back on her life, her climbs, her loves and her connections with the Nazis. Leni Riefenstahl at the age of 90 goes back to the places throughout the world where her career lead her: the Italian and Swiss Alps, the Maldives, Japan, the USA and the Nazi centres of Nuremburg and Berlin. She answers questions openly about all the issues which have made her such a controversial character, loved and hated, condemned and admired at the same time. Her remarkable films made in the 1930s with the Luis Trenker and Arnold Franck brought the Bergfilm genre to the attention of the world.
