The theme of the film is the mutual help between two mountaineers, who find themselves isolated during a climb in the high mountains. Filmed as a documentary, the film had the collaboration and participation of mountaineers from the high Tatras mountain club. Directed by Jerzy Surdel, this is the first film of the Trypyk Górski trilogy. The second film of the series, Odwrot, was originally presented at the Trento festival in 1969, where it won the best short film award; 37 years later, it was also awarded at the Banff festival.
