In 1978, Steve Shea atarred in one of the first extreme ski films, Bob Carmichael's Fall Line, during which he made the second ski descent of the Grand Teton. One memorable cut, used for years on the pre-show lead for the TV program The american sportsman, showed Shea cart-wheeling down the length of the rock-strewn Kochs Couloir on Middle Teton.
