A sort of addition to the main film, 'Rimpatriano i reduci del K2', about the return to Italy of the participants in the 1954 K2 expedition, mounted with the remaining footage. The expedition made the first ascent of K2 via the Abruzzi Spur on 31 July 1954. The expedition was led by Ardito Desio, and the two climbers who reached the summit were Lino Lacedelli and Achille Compagnoni. A documentary by the prolific mountain filmmaker Mario Fantin.
