Free solo climbing - John Bachar

This Real People reportage portrays John Bachar and shows him climbing unroped in Joshua Tree National Park while we hear him talking about his life and climbing philosophy. At the end of the reportage and when the program comes back to the studio, Bachar appears on scene from above doing a rappel. Real People was a television series aired at NBC television from 1979 to 1984, in which different hosts in front of a large studio audience were presenting reportages of varied 'real people' with unique occupations or hobbies (real as opposed to celebrities).
