At the end of 2015 Nick Koumalatsos cut his hand while shooting Trailblazers for the Discovery Channel in Bolivia. His tendons snapped and after complications with two surgeries Nick spent the next 6 months in physical therapy getting dexterity back in his hand. In 2016 he made the decision to summit Mount Rainier. With 6 weeks to prepare, he set a plan in place to take on something bigger than he had done before.
