Report by the French television about the drama that kept France in breath for a week: the winter attempt by René Desmaison and Serge Gousseault to the north face of the Grandes Jorasses, which ended with the death of Gousseault and the rescue of Desmaison when they got caught just 300 meters below the summit. The report was broadcast within the program 'Les coulisses de l'exploit' (Behind the scenes), a monthly sports news program created by Jacques Goddet and Raymond Marcillac, and broadcast on RTF Télévision then on the first channel of the ORTF from December 13, 1961 to August 16, 1972.
