Gaston Rébuffat was one of the greatest post-war French mountaineers and the greatest mountain guide of his time. This feature film retraces key moments in Rébuffat’s life and tries to explain the driving force behind this mountaineer who scaled mountain peaks with the sole aim of looking at the world from a different point of view. Beyond the feat, the whole work of Gaston Rebuffat invites us to a great lesson of collective will and fraternity that is given to us by solidarity men, roped and tuned to the nature that amazes them. This is Rebuffat's fifth and last film.
