A Soviet documentary about mountaineering in great mountains. The film collects images from expeditions to high mountains. One of the featured expeditions is the tragical Pamir 74 International Alpinist Camp. The film also features the 1982 Soviet expedition to Mount Everest. The first acknowledged Soviet expedition climbed a new route on the Southwest Face to the left of the Central Gully of Everest.
