Sant'Elia - Vittoria - sconfitta

Mount Saint Elias (5489 m.), between Canada and Alaska, was climbed for the first time in 1897, by Luigi Amedeo di Savoia, Duke of Abruzzi. The Rusconi expedition attempted the conquest of the peak tracing a new route, but after unsuccessful efforts, the team gave up and followed the ancient route of the Duke.
