The documentary describes Leo Gasperl's summer ski school on the Matterhorn's Plateau Rosa, in Italy. First, a group of novice skiers learn the basic techniques of alpine skiing. Then, Jean Pélissier makes a rock climbing demonstration on a rock face. Finally, the group of skiers make an alpine ascent carrying the skis to end up descending skiing back to the Plateau. The action concludes with the group celebrating the day at the refuge. A film by Marcello Baldi produced in 1948 by Edelweiss Film and featuring Leo Gasperl, Roby Gasperl, and Jean Pélissier.
