On a late summer day, Valais glacier pilot Hermann Geiger flies over a four-thousand-meter peak. He observes a huge glacier crash, which means great danger for climbers. Nevertheless, the next day three rope teams are climbing through this glacier world. The groups get into fog and storm while climbing up to the Dent Blanche, and they suffer a fatal accident. A rescue team ascends. Bad weather hinders Hermann Geiger on duty. But finally, the glacier pilot dares his life in a breakneck landing to save other human lives.
