Winter climbing on the highest peaks of the Himalayas is extremely challenging. Only half of the 8000 metre peaks have been climbed in winter. On January 14th 2005 a Polish-Italian team reached the summit of Shishapangma (8013 meters). This film is a rare insight into the severe conditions of a Himalaya winter expedition and the toll it takes on the body and soul.
