Life in a legend's shadow
Chris Alstrin (2015)
Opportunities may be handed to you a little easier when you’re the son of a legend but that doesn’t guarantee success. Being dragged to Pakistan at the age of 1 for a climbing expedition only to come home with Chicken Pox and being told 'You’re never going to be as good as your father' would make any young child stay as far away from climbing as possible. Jess Roskelley the son of Legendary climber John Roskelley and the only American to receive a Piolet d’Or Lifetime Achievement Award for his climbing achievements thought the same way throughout his childhood until that one climb changed his entire life.- 2015

Drei Siebe - Beat Kammerlander
Dietmar Walser (2014)
At the age of 55, Beat Kammerlander opens 'Drei Siebe', a new 8b route at Bürser Platte. On an apparently smooth wall, Kammerlander shows his sport climbing perfection and gives insights into his motivation and his thinking. The route in question lies to the left of Kammerlander's famous Prinzip Hoffnung and despite being a sport climb has some sections that are fairly run out. The bouldery crux start is followed by a second-half that is both powerful and technical and although Kammerlander has suggested a 'mere' 8b, he also states that Drei Siebe 'is one of the routes where the grade is meaningless'.Drei Siebe - Beat Kammerlander
