    On the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the first climb of the Matterhorn on 14th July 1990, four inexperienced climbers (two men & two women) climb the Matterhorn for the first time accompanied by seasoned guides assisting them on the standard Hörnlihütte route. In another roped party goes the 89-year-old mountain guide Ulrich Inderbinen, who completes one of his 371 ascents to the mountain. The climb was broadcasted live on Swiss television. This is the summary of the big live broadcast, a program that combines moments of the ascent with brief portraits of the protagonists.
