A touching documentary that tells how in 2001 Simone Moro abandoned his climbing project to go and rescue an Englishman who was been injured after suffering a fall in the Lhotse wall. Moro was trying with Denis Urubko the chaining of Lhotse and Everest. The night before going on the summit of Lhotse, while he is in a tent at 8000 meters with Urubko, he receives a request for help for Tom Moores, a young English climber who fell from the wall. Not recommended in the enterprise by the various mountaineers present, Moro decides to leave, alone and at night, in search of the mountaineer. He finds him wounded, without gloves and crampons. He ties him and pulls him up for 200 meters in altitude to avoid being exposed to avalanches, then transports him to the tents.Climbing locations

Tom lives with his father James on a campsite in the Dolomites, living off James’ small pension. Even though his mother, the great British alpinist Alison Hargreaves, died descending K2 when he was just six years old, Tom always wanted to be a climber. His whole life is dedicated to the mountains and his last goal is to climb solo the Six North Faces of the Alps in a single winter season. Nobody’s ever done it, and he wants to be the first. We knew Tom just a couple of weeks before he began his winter project. His personal story and his solo winter project deserved to be told, so together with Ruggero Arena, photographer and climber, we decided to begin shooting.Climbing locations
