Black Diamond

No pain, no gain is a documentary about dry tooling that takes place in Pitztaler Glacier. It was directed by Andi Hechenberger in 2004 and produced by Black Diamond. It features Samuel Anthamatten, Simon Anthamatten, Jack Mueller, Petra Mueller, Ines Papert, Sandra Wielebnowski and others.

The natural ice arena in the Gastein Valley with its frozen waterfalls is the Mecca of ice climbers. Usually a rope team needs one day per waterfall - but Rudi Hauser, Alexander Holleis and Gerald Zussner, after days of preparation work, will try to climb three of the most impressive waterfalls in one day. In his record attempt, they will also dare a difficult first ascent with a challenging mixed passage of rock and ice.
