L'alpinista
Fabio Mancari (2015)
Agostino Gazzera, known as Gustin, was a worker at Fiat with a passion for mountaineering, who in the 1950s dreamed of climbing the mountain routes opened by legendary climbers such as Cassin, Boccalatte and Gervasutti. Today Gustin has conquered all these peaks, from the Monviso and Cervino to “the university of climbing”, Mont Blanc, without ever forgetting where he comes from, becoming in his turn a point of reference and a model for new generations.Fabio Mancari, Giacomo Piumatti

La conquista del K2
Alessandro Varchetta (2004)
In 1954, an Italian expedition led by Ardito Desio set out to climb K2: the participants were recruited among some of the best Italian mountaineers and after undertaking a period of innovative training for that time, they left directly for the massif of Karakorum. Under the almost military command of Desio, Achille Compagnoni and Lino Lacedelli reached the peak. Walter Bonatti, twenty-three at the time, the youngest in the expedition, spent a night without shelter at an altitude of 8100 meters, after having carried oxygen bottles to Campagnoni and Lacedelli. The K2 conquest followed a trail of controversy, although returning home to Italy was triumphant: the Italian mountaineers succeeded in climbing K2.- 2004

Sciare in salita
Chiara Brambilla (2016)
For generations the Righini ski mountaineering school in Milan, has handed down the culture of the snow and mountains in the city. Through the story of the microcosm represented by the school, Sciare in salita retraces the most important stages in the history of ski mountaineering, from the evolution of technical materials to the advent of the digital age, showing how film archives – from old footage to contemporary social media - are capable of constantly inventing new narrative threads. The mountains remain at the centre, surrounded by a mysterious aura that manages to evade the representations and imaginary attributes given to them by man.- 2016
