On July 10, 1966, a French expedition led by Robert Paragot reaches the summit of Huascaran-Nord, the highest peak in Peru, by its north face. This documentary is the report by the French television broadcasted within the program 'Les coulisses de l'exploit' (Behind the scenes), a monthly sports news program created by Jacques Goddet and Raymond Marcillac, and broadcast on RTF Télévision then on the first channel of the ORTF from December 13, 1961 to August 16, 1972. The Huascaran expedition ended with the tragic fatal fall of mountaineer Dominique Leprince-Ringuet.Climbing locations
