Namche Bazar, the capital of Khumbu in Nepal, is a major trading hub between Lhasa and the Indian Ocean, a world of tradition and trade. Catherine Destivelle and Erik Decamp come during the monsoon season to climb a spectacular waterfall of ice in the Khumbu Valley, on the Nepali side of Everest. The Ice Wall is constantly changing and could collapse or trigger an avalanche of ice at any time. The climbers begin to climb it as the snow begins to fall... A film by Pierre-Antoine Hiroz produced in 1997 by Les Films d'Ici.Climbing locations
