The story of the expedition of six French mountaineers, who left in November 1987, to reach Dhaulagiri, one of the highest peaks of the Himalayas in central Nepal (8,172 meters) in winter. This first French winter expedition, organized by an Auvergne association and financed by the Caisse d'Epargne d'Auvergne, had a powerful and light radio communication system and was composed by climbers Marc Batard, Louis Audoubert, Patrick Marcelot, François Poissonnier, Claude Guyran and Annie Dubois.

The documentary narrates the difficulties and enthusiasm of a trained expedition to Everes along the South Mountain Pass on the Nepalease side. During the adventure Jean Marc Boivin, the great French alpinist who has dominated the scene of adventure at the limits of human possibility, jumps off the highest peak in the wold with his parapente and lands in a camp after a flight about ten inutes. Boivin wanted to descend from the roof of the world oon skis. This is the testimony of a great sports record.
