Michele Radici presents a mix of clips, broken up by backstage images, showing the production and shooting of films about extreme sport. On this occasion, the director also reveals a series of anecdotes, techniques, tips and tricks used in his films. This film follows the adventure of Giorgio Passino, one of Italy’s leading ice climbers. Climbing frozen waterfalls is always a race against the sun, and what was supposed to be a practise climb turns into a near tragedy as the sun begins to melt the ice into a mortal trap. Off the field, the reflections, the motivations and the confessions of the two, sincere and moving. At the same time, the cameras follow the slow transformation of the mountain face over the seasons until an umpteenth snowfall makes conditions right. Having reached the peak at Aiguille Blanche, one of two is given honour and risk of the first descent on the snow and ice slopes.
