Mémoire de Sentinelle traces the history of the ascents of the highest mountain on the American continent, the Aconcagua at 6,959m, and follows ten young climbing enthusiasts as they climb to the summit. The first ascent dates from 1897, but the mountain has always been present for the original populations (Araucanos, Agmaras, Incas) who have lived nearby and been in awe of it. The climbing conditions are extreme: the atmospheric pressure is a challenge, the altitude and winds are terrible.Climbing locations
