    Journey To Kanjiroba Vod

    Journey To Kanjiroba

    John Bonham Carter (2001)

A group of peaks in the north-western part of Nepal, called the Kanjiroba Himal, has been John Tyson's obsession for over 40 years. A modest schoolmaster, by profession, he returned to the Himalayas, again and again. His quest was to venture where no one had dared to explore in order to map uncharted territory. The risk of such exploits can be great, even leading to the ultimate price. However, between 1961 and 1969 John faced these risks in three different expeditions to this remote region. In 1998 at 70 years old, he returned to the Kanjiroba Himal, for the last time.
