In this episode, Messner talks his expedition to Lhotse (his 14th 8000er) in 1986. Messner, along with Hans Kammerlander, eached the summit of Mount Lhotse, 8,516 meters, at 1:45 noon on October 16, 1986, after almost six hours of ascent. With the conquest of Everest's sister peak, Messner achieved his dream of summiting the fourteen highest mountains on the planet.
