Rescate en el Naranjo de Bulnes

Television report on the rescue of two mountaineers in the Naranjo de Bulnes, in the north of Spain, in 1970. José Luís Arrabal and Gervasio Lastra were attempting a winter ascent on the west face and in the third day were caught by a fierce storm. The storm had them paralyzed on a ledge for eight days, and they had to be rescued in a complicated operation. Despite all efforts, Arrabal died in the hospital. The film, by Jesús González Green, was selected in the category of best news program at the Monte Carlo Festival.Climbing locations
