Manaslu - Berg der Seelen
Gerald Salmina (2018)
Hans Kammerlander crowned Manaslu in 2017, along with Stephan Keck, and skied down through a new route. That’s the way these two great mountaineers found redemption after the tragedies they went through on that same mountain years before. With archive footage, interviews and magnific dramatic reconstructions, the film goes through Kammerlander’s greatest achievements and his most painful losses. He is one of the greatest alpinists in history, who keeps asking himself how and why he survived while his best friends passed away in the mountain.- 2018

Die Suche der Sherpas
Heinz Leger (2012)
Sherpas are the real heroes of high altitude mountaineering. To the early explorers of the Himalayan region they were immeasurably valuable. Without their skills as guides, their hardiness and endurance as porters even the most modern mountain expeditions would not have been possible. But to this day the achievements of the Sherpas have not found their way into the alpine history books. The blue-chip documentary 'The Sherpas' Quest' shows where these people come from and reveals the real importance of the Sherpas for the international climbing and mountaineering community.- 2012

Peter Ressmann - Eine Widmung
Gerald Salmina (2013)
Peter Ressmann was an experienced alpinist - during a routine exercise in 2010 he died in an accident. The portrait shows how Ressmann developed from a Kitzbühel boy to a mountaineer on the one hand, but above all to a straightforward and grounded person on the other. Mountain partners like Axel Naglich remember this unique mountaineer, who was not only known and appreciated for the longest ski run from Mount St. Elias.- 2013

Climbing Everest with a mountain on my back - The sherpa's story
Heinz Leger (2012)
Every year, over a thousand climbers try to reach the summit of Mount Everest, with the annual record for successful attempts currently standing at 633. But of that number, nearly half were Sherpas - the mountain's unsung heroes. Yet the Sherpa community has remained secretive about their nation, culture and experiences living in the shadow of the world's highest mountain. Now, for the first time, they open the door into their world. Adapted version for the BBC of the original Austrian documentary 'Die Suche der Sherpas'.Climbing Everest with a mountain on my back - The sherpa's story

Found on Everest
Riley Morton (2001)
'Found On Everest' documents in vivid detail the daily struggles facing this team of elite climbers on three search rotations above 27,00 feet. Follow expedition leader Eric Simonson and the rest of the team as they try to solve the mystery of the 1924 disappearance of the duo that may have summitted Everest first: George Mallory and Sandy Irvine. Looking for on thing but finding another, this team encountered five stranded climbers who had spent the night exposed on Mount Everest's frigid north ridge, above 28,500 feet. Over the course of one long, dramatic day, Tap Richards, Dave Han and Jason Tanguay saved four lives in the second highest rescue in history.- 2001
