All the mountains have been climbed? Not at all! Monte Sarmiento at the southernmost end of South America is not even 2,300 metres high, and yet mountaineers have only reached the summit twice with over twenty attempts so far. In order to fulfill a mountaineering dream, the Hamburg geologist, photographer and Patagonian expert Ralf Gantzhorn travels to Monte Sarmiento for the seventh time. Three friends accompany him to this company, which begins a sailing trip in the port city of Ushuaia. Even the journey across the sea, with views of green forests, mighty glaciers and untouched mountains, captivates the mountaineers.Climbing locations
