Nanga Parbat - Schicksalsberg der Deutschen
Gerhard Baur (1989)
In summer 1988 seven alpinists leave to climb Nanga Parbat's Diamir wall. The wall is 4000 metres high and and it is not a route very chosen by the mountaineers. Few people go there because of the dangers involved. Gerhard Baur who was a good alpinist before he became a film-maker, climbed up to 7400 metres to film this climb. It is an opportunity for him to to tell the story of the terrible Pakistan mountain, that since 1932 has 'bewitched' German alpinists who have repeatedly attempted to conquer it over the years, with great terrible disasters.Nanga Parbat - Schicksalsberg der Deutschen
