In the winter of 1986, André Georges crossed all of Zermatt's four thousands with the famous extreme mountaineer Erhard Loretan within three weeks. The documentary remembers the feat following two teams who climb these summits separately and in different stages. A rope team is formed by André Georges and Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner. The other consists of Simon Anthamatten and Felicitas Feller. The alpinists talk about their passion for mountains and about how alpine danger and rescue symbolize life itself.
