Coconut Connection

Having previously explored the coast of Baffin on board the famous Dodo’s Delight Nicolas Favresse & Sean Villanueva decide to return on a big wall free climbing expedition in the month of July which is rumoured to have better weather. However with the sea ice breaking up access is close to impossible. Joined by three Italian climbers ( Matteo Della Bordella, Matteo De Zaiacomo & Luca Schiera) they approach with skis on the frozen sea in June and find themselves voluntarily stranded for almost two months in a Yosemite like valley full of unbelievable big walls where everything is there for the taking. This is the question that a Russian expedition made welcoming the two youngsters in the valley of the Big Wall. With the satellite that they only took at the top of the walls, and therefore practically useless, Luca and Matteo lived a real adventure, of great alpine value (the 'usual' alpine style in free and visible climbing on the Big Wall that Luca also searched for and found in Oman, Patagonia and of course at Uli Biaho with Matteo Della Bordella and SIlvan Schupbach) and at the same time of great human depth for contact with the locals.- 2015

A highly anticipated short film that Michele Caminati is making with Simone Pedeferri, set in Val Masino and Val di Mello, between the extreme lines of granite climbing and the drawings of Simone. Simone had already 'undermined' his talent as a painter with his climbing, when in 2005 he composed paintings and drawings for the texts of Fabio Palma, which were included in the book Letters of Sosta. Now this trailer tells us that the signs he wanted to put on a sheet of paper are linked precisely to its extreme lines, those numerous 8c and 8c+ that never repeats anyone or almost anyone, and that they follow incredible aesthetic lines dictated by the granite of the valley.- 2015
