Zanzara and Labbradoro collects the testimonies of Roberto Bassi's closest friends, who trace his history as a person, as a climber, his decisive role in the development of free climbing and the changes in the culture of the mountains in recent decades.

The film tells the story of Skip Novak, the head of the Pelagic expedition in Antarctica. Skip is a skipper by profession and his hobby is moutain climbing. During the three months spent along the coast of Graham Land the climbers of the expedition make an unsuccessful attempt to climb the unconquered Sharp Peak, but they manage to climb the unconquered Pilot Peak.
