David Lama - Zurück zu den Wurzeln
Martin Hanslmayr (2017)
For a long time, the Austrian climber David Lama wished to turn to Nepal. The family visit of his ancestors was only one part of the travel. The second reason was – what else could it be? – a mountain. The first ascent of the 6907m high Lunag Ri. This combination of a completely untouched summit and a challenging climbing part is all but commonplace. The Lunag Ri is very difficult on all its sides. Already several expeditions have tried their luck there. Together with the legendary climber Conrad Anker, David sets off to the highest, still unclimbed mountain in Nepal.David Lama - Zurück zu den Wurzeln

Making-of 'Am Limit' - The point of no return
Pepe Danquart (2007)
Making-of of the documentary 'Am Limit’, where the Huber brothers, Alex and Thomas, try to beat the speed record of the ‘Nose’, a 1.000 meters high climbing route in the granite wall of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. The filming crew, composed of expert mountaineers, had to spend some days shooting betwenn eight and twelve hours on the wall, exposed to the sun and the elements. Every camera position was calculated by Pepe Danquart, the film director, anticipating every climber’s move, and the team used between 3 and 4 kilometers of fixed ropes. About ten people have been constantly in the wall, and more than 30 more were standing up at the summit or below to assist.Making-of 'Am Limit' - The point of no return

Lunag Ri
Hans-Peter Stauber (2017)
Already in 2016, David Lama and Conrad Anker had set out to climb Lunag Ri, a stunningly beautiful, unclimbed peak of 6.907meters on the borderline between Nepal and Tibet. As things didn’t go as planned the duo has to retreat just shy of the summit but returns one year later, determined to bring the project to an end. Despite prime conditions and all the knowledge gathered during their last attempt, their endeavor is stopped rapidly with Anker ’s life dangling between life and death, leaving Lama with some tough decisions to make.Hans-Peter Stauber, Martin Hanslmayr, Michael Ginthoer
