In May 2018, three British climbers Malcolm Bass, Paul Figg and Guy Buckingham set out to attempt the first ascent of Janhukot, a mountain buried deep in the heart of the Indian Garwhal Himalaya. Janhukot (6805m) has seen attempts as far back as the 1980s, and is surrounded by some of the jewels of Himalayan summits - Shivling, Meru, Kedar Dome. We follow the climbers throughout their expedition, as they document their experiences and give an insight into the emotional and physical challenges they encounter throughout their journey. ‘Janhukot’ explores not just the idea, but the reality that, with some sacrifice and training, ordinary people can do something extraordinary.

In the case of renowned adventurer Leo Houlding, this has manifested itself in the form of world class expeditions to unclimbed peaks the world over. ‘Mirror Wall’, the debut feature film from Coldhouse Collective, follows Leo approaching his latest expedition with a reconsidered mentality and attitude. Following the death of his close friend Sean ‘Stanley’ Leary and trying to balance potentially dangerous situations with the responsibilities of parenthood - Leo is left leading a team of determined, talented but ultimately inexperienced young guns up one of the tallest big walls in the world.

Opposites attract. There isn’t a more appropriate statement to describe the unlikely yet formidable climbing partnership that is Nick Bullock and Tim Neill. They met on the mountains of Scotland in winter, and despite walking their own paths in the mountaineering world they are both drawn inexorably back there each winter. The fickle conditions that define Scottish winter climbing frequently lead to frustration, but the prospect of discovering an obscure gem presents an irresistible allure to them both.

Project fear is a documentary about rock climbing that takes place in Cima Ovest Di Lavaredo. It was directed by Matt Bycroft in 2015 and produced by Coldhouse Collective. It features Dave MacLeod, Alan Cassidy and Freida MacLeod.

Cinematic filmmaking, cutting edge traditional climbing and a 7.5 ton converted truck – the Odyssey begins!
