Die grossen Nordwände
Gerald Salmina (2016)
North faces are the epitome of extreme mountaineering. This is particularly true of the north faces of the Eiger, Matterhorn, Grandes Jorasses, Piz Badile, Großer Zinne, Petit Dru and the Drei Zinnen - in the 20th century they embodied the goals a mountaineer must have set himself in order to belong to the elite. To this day, they are playgrounds of extremes. The documentary shows the large north faces of the Alps from a surprising perspective. World-renowned top mountaineers such as Hansjörg Auer, Alexander Huber and Robert Jasper demonstrate the art of climbing at the highest level with first ascents and solo ascents.- 2016

Auf Skiern am Limit
Franz Hinterbrandner (2015)
Skiing untouched mountain faces is a sport which has always been reserved for only a few chosen ones, and where the mistakes are pitiless punished. The places for this kind of skiing are on the up to 60 degree steep north faces of the Schober massif and the Dolomites. The two protagonists Thomas Gaisbacher from Tyrol and Samuel Anthamatten from Zermatt, introduce the history behind such an extreme sport and show the input behind the scenes, the preparation in summer, the training and the scouting, before the real ‘drop’ in the steep slope can take place.Franz Hinterbrandner, Max Reichel

Das Matterhorn - Vom Mythos zur Marke
Gerald Salmina (2015)
On 14 July 1865 the Matterhorn was first climbed. Bergwelten takes this event as an opportunity to take a look at the most exciting events on the most famous mountain in the Alps. From the first summit ascent, the first ascent of the north face in 1931 and the legendary winter solo entrance of the Italian Walter Bonatti in 1965, to the unique achievements of today's mountaineers. The film impresses with spectacular climbing shots and unique shots of the film work in the wall. And it accompanies people whose lives are inseparably linked to the unique mountain on the Swiss-Italian border. The Zermatt mountain guide Michi Lerjen grew up on the Swiss side of the mountain. Hervé Barmasse, on the other hand, comes from the Italian side - as a scion of a mountain guide family, he knows the Matterhorn better than anyone else.Das Matterhorn - Vom Mythos zur Marke
