Black Rocks, once known as Stonnis, is a gritstone outcrop that juts crudely out of the limestone dales south of the English Peak District like an uninvited guest. Climbers have been coming here for 125 years. They've always found the climbing desperate and they've always said that they'd never come back. But those with the skill, boldness or just sheer determination to return find routes filled with some of the most compelling challenges, stunning features and unlikely positions that this fantastic stone has to offer.
