Britain’s sea cliffs have a huge variety of trad climbing: steep or slabby, loose or friendly, easy or... slightly more challenging. But always unique. The Seaside captures the climbers who are drawn to these challenges, onsight on the routes they would have been climbing even if the camera wasn’t on them, right across the English and Welsh coast. Don’t forget your prusiks. A film by Mike Cheque.Climbing locations

Black Rocks, once known as Stonnis, is a gritstone outcrop that juts crudely out of the limestone dales south of the English Peak District like an uninvited guest. Climbers have been coming here for 125 years. They've always found the climbing desperate and they've always said that they'd never come back. But those with the skill, boldness or just sheer determination to return find routes filled with some of the most compelling challenges, stunning features and unlikely positions that this fantastic stone has to offer. These are their stories.Climbing locations
