    Am Seil

    Fabian Eder (2009)

After her daughter Babsi moves out of her shared apartment, the art historian Lena finds a photo of her mother Magdalena as a young woman on a mountain, the Simonskopf, and an old postcard from 1964 in a box in the attic. On this postcard her mother, who has died in the meantime, expresses her wish to be buried one day in this place. Since Magdalena is said to have hated the mountains, Lena becomes curious and wants to find out the secret behind the postcard and the wish it contains. Lena travels to St. Vitus in the hope of finding an answer in the village or perhaps on Simonskopf. To get up the mountain, however, she has to learn how to climb. The attractive hotelier and mountain guard Martin takes her by the rope and helps her overcome her fear of heights.
