Based on a true story from World War II, the film tells the story of Felice Benuzzi, one of 10,000 prisoners of war held at the Kenya camp. Benuzzi and two others managed to escape the camp by successfully scaling down the 17,000-foot high Mt. Kenya. At the beginnig of the show, Robert Montgomery salutes director Norman Felton and congratulates him for pulling off such a technically challenging production.
