    The Alex Megos Formula

    Frank Kretschmann (2016)

A film portrait about the young world-class climber Alexander Megos. The viewers go on a four-part journey in search of the secret formula as they join Alex on his travels and during his climbing projects and get to know his home and origin. The viewers try to find proof, leaning on basic concepts from physics like gravity, friction, momentum, and others, of the existence of the formula. All four episodes take a look at Alex from different vantage points and different subject areas, always connected to an analogy from physics. The search for the formula leads to the conclusion that Alex is more than the sum of his traits.

    Über dem Wolf's Tooth

    Über dem Wolf's Tooth

    Cengiz Tanc (2011)

Russian Base jumper Valery Rozov’s jumping adventure from Mount Ulvetanna, one of the highest peaks of Antarctica. Valery Rozov and his team go to the the Drygalski Mountains in Queen Maud Land, a place of extreme conditions where humans can fly. Here after weeks of preparation, Rozov conquers the almost vertical wall soaring 3,280 feet (1,000 meters) into the sky. What follows is pure adrenaline: for nearly one minute Rozov hurtles down the sheer rock-face before he pulls his chute open to make a safe landing. This is the first jump from one of the most difficult peaks in this icy desert. This is a 25 minutes version of the original 'Over the Wolf's Tooth', shortened for the Highlights series of the austrian ServusTV.
