A documentary about three men and one wall. The story happened in the spring of 1996 on one of the most beautiful mountains in the world: 6828 meters high Ama Dablam. After seven days of extremely difficult climbing, Vanji Furlan and Tomaž Humar managed to break through the northwestern wall to the very top. Zvonko Požgaj, their only connection with the valley, monitored events from the base camp, guided and stimulated them through the transmitter, and at the same time carefully recorded and recorded everything that happened on those dramatic days. The ascent was noted abroad as the greatest Alpine achievement in 1996 and remains one of the largest in history.- 2016

The documentary offers us a few images of some moments, at times very spectacular, lived by two young Slovenian alpinists in the Smith Rock region in Oregon. The two young climbers attempt the straight climb of 'Darkness at noon' which is 5.13 degrees on the American scale. A constant effort is required for this climb because of the particular features of the mountain which is both beautiful and elegant. The film also shows scenes shot in some American states: the Eldorado Canyon in Colorado, the vast regions of Indhao and the enchanting sunsets in Oregon.- 1988

In the valleys of Nepal live the natives who work as mountain guides, cooks and prters for the expeditions to the highest mountains in the world. In the pioneer years of the struggle to defeat the Himalaya 2,5 % of them never came back. The Yugoslav alpinist Ales Kunaver, leader of the expeditions on Annapurna, the south wall of Makaly and the south wall of Lhotse, considered the natives to be very good workers but lacking a basic education in mountaineering. He decided to found a school for mountain guides, the only one of this kind in the Himalaya. In this school in Nepal more than 50 instructors of Alpinism and physicians from seven coutries have, in ten years taught 310 natives a profession.- 1991

A personal story without any kind of complacency for his busy mountaineering activity which has given Matiaz Fistravec, the maker of numerous documentaries, the opportunity to explore and climb the great walls of mountains throughout the world. Cerro Torre, the Himalayan giants and the Tibetan highlands are stages in an intimate journey in which alpinism may be considered an artistic way of expressing oneself that is much less engineered than, say, for an actor who has to interpret stories written by others. Instead, an ascent is deeply individual: from the elaboration of the project to its realization the climber has total control of the subject and everything depends on him alone.- 2002

In 1979 Reinhold Messner thought of an ideal route to climb K2 along the south-south west face, the 'Magic Line'. This route was attempted by a French expedition in 1979 without success. A Polish expedition instead, with Wroz, Piasecki and Bozik, succeeded in the attempt but Wroz did not return. The bodies of Renato Casarotto, Lashr Khan, Hogn Smlich and Allan Pannington also lie at a height of 7000 m. Despite this, in July 1988, a Yuogslavian expedition attempted the climb and made this film, along the most difficult route leading to the summit of K2.- 1988
