Heinz Mariacher approached the mountain climbing the most important peaks of the Dolomites, then he devoted himself to free climbing, to then return to classic mountaineering, in this itinerary he found himself with his partner, Luisa Iovane. Immersed in the images of the pibelle walls of the Dolomites, you can follow the different thoughts that accompany two climbers different from each other, but united in life and in the rock by the thought that invites you to start climbing just when you reach the summit.

This film was made for the Bayerischer Rundfunk. Two German alpinists (Kurt Albert and Immo Engelhard) decide to climb some difficult mountains in the Dolomites. They have to make several attempts at one of them. Between two attempts one of them rests and almost falls asleep. At a certain point he loses control and falls. The climber suddenly jumps up disturbed by his dream in which the desire to fly up in the sky is combined with death and failure, the fall of no return.
