    Together with film actor Simon Schwarz we go on the Großvenediger and many other historical Salzburg mountains. The actor climbs the highest peak of the federal state of Salzburg 175 years after the first ascent. Technically, the 3,667 meter high Großvenediger is not a big challenge for alpinists, but it wrestles great respect from the actor. A bad weather front makes the tour a real challenge and Simon gets to know the hard side of the Großvenediger.

    In autumn 1862, three enthusiastic students founded the second oldest mountaineering association in the world - the Austrian Alpine Association. After 150 years of eventful history, the association has always remained true to the basic values of the founding period: To spread knowledge about the Alps, to promote love for them and to facilitate their 'journey'. The most important founding member Paul Grohmann is portrayed by the well-known actor Simon Schwarz, who is also a member of the Alpine Club and a mountain friend in 'real life'.

During their preparations, they encounter Luise, the first woman Toni ever loved. Now a journalist, she has arrived to cover their attempt, along with the loyal Nazi reporter Arau. On the face the two men meet the Austrians Willi and Edi. Then things spin out of control for the climbers: the weather changes, and Willy is injured. A race against time and the forces of nature is set in motion. Recreation of the drama of Toni Kurz and Andreas Hinterstoisser on the Eiger in 1936.
