The Big Bang

In september 2019, when Emma Twyford powered, crimped and screamed her way to the top of The Big Bang at Lower Pen Trywn, she ended a three-year battle and entered British climbing’s history books as the first British woman to break the 9a barrier. In this 30-minute epic film, we follow her on her three-year journey to climb the route. Emma's ascent was the third absolute ascent of this route, first climbed in 1996 by Neil Carson.
