    Além dos sonhos Vod

    Além dos sonhos

    Rafael Duarte (2019)

The film tells the life story of Roman Romancini, one of the most important Brazilian mountaineers, in his endeavor to reach his greatest dream: climbing Mount Everest, the highest mountain on the planet. Starting early in his athletic career, he passes through several deadly experiences. But it was while riding a bike that he got hit by a car in an accident that almost put an end to his sport life forever. Beyond Dreams shows how Roman dealt with the chance of never climbing again, how he fought cancer, and how he kept the Everest dream alive as a motivation to overcome the recovery process.

Cerro Kishtwar - An Ice Cold Story

    Julian Zanker (2018)

The Kashmir mountains were barred to foreign alpinists for several years. The ban was lifted early in 2010 and Stephan Siegrist, Denis Burdet, and David Lama made the first expedition into the region the following year to climb Cerro Kishtwar alpine style. They reached the summit via the north-west side. Siegrist had spotted a new line on the face, however, and returned in 2017 with Huber and Zanker, but the difficulties were harder than expected and they encountered difficult technical climbing.

Kunyang Chhish East - First ascent Vod

Kunyang Chhish East - First ascent

    Milena Holzknecht (2014)

Hansjörg Auer, Matthias Auer and Simon Anthamatten set off for a great goal: the Kunyang Chish East. With its 7.400 metre this summit belongs to the highest still untouched mountains on earth. The challenge is not only physical. They do not know what will be awaiting them in the higher walls, except altitude and cold. Bivouacs on isolated snow mushrooms or in crevasses, in order to be protected against the masses of the falling new snow, constitute a big mental challenge. The way to the summit requires a high capacity for suffering in all areas.

Three friends accompany him to this company, which begins a sailing trip in the port city of Ushuaia. An American ascent

    George Potter (2016)

An American Ascent documents the first African American expedition to tackle Denali, North America's highest peak and explores the complex relationship many African-Americans have with the outdoors. As the United States transitions to a 'minority majority' nation, a staggering number of people of color do not identify with America's wild places. By embarking on the grueling multi-week climb of the 20,327ft Denali, nine African-American climbers set out to bridge this 'adventure gap' - challenging outdated notions of what adventure looks like by changing the face of America's biggest and baddest mountain on the 100th anniversary of its first summit.
