    La montagna di Ilio

    La montagna di Ilio

    Francesca Zannoni (2017)

“What is the sense of recounting a silent story, a story that does not have the words to be told? Why reveal a secret?” The Pale di San Lucano, in the Belluno Dolomites, are wild, steep and incredible mountains. Yet they are hidden, like this story: the story of Ilio De Biasio, a climber from Cencenighe Agordino, his brothers and his friends; a tale of exploration and friendship, adventure and visceral love for these mountains. A true story, without fuss, in search of the most elusive and precious thing that we have: life.

A Thousand Ways to Kiss the Ground Vod

A Thousand Ways to Kiss the Ground

    Henna Taylor (2020)

An exploration into grief and its expression through the stories of individuals who have experienced loss or trauma due to climbing or alpinism. Made in collaboration with the Climbing Grief Fund, this artful compilation of interviews highlights how there is no singular or correct way to grieve. Climbers discuss how they are learning to integrate grief into their daily lives and in effect, change the community’s collective narrative surrounding this topic. The film investigates the paradoxes of grief and the grieving process while mirroring this complexity back to viewers as a starting point to destigmatize and normalize the conversation surrounding grief for climbers and non-climbers alike.

    Peter Moser

    Peter Moser

    Matteo Mocellin (2017)

There are mountaineers who are on everyone's lips, good, very good. We also know a lot of them, good, very good. But Peter Moser has something special, something that even stronger makes us say good, very good. His story has a lot to tell but what we like most is his definition of himself as a mountaineer and mountain guide, and farmer. In this film Peter is linked to another pop mountaineer: Roberto Bassi from Zanzara and Labbradoro.

    L'angelo custode

    Matteo Mocellin (2014)

Toni Marchiorello dedicated himself to the mountains and mountaineering from a very young age: the soul of the CAI, the first Mountaineering Instructor in the Bassano area, he has collected 35 climbs over 4000 meters of altitude. At the ripe old age of 85, he is still a man of the mountains and continues to participate in hiking activities in Italy and abroad and is not lacking in every occasion of cheerful conviviality. Barfuß nach innen - Die Kletterlegende Bernd Arnold

    Ulf Wogenstein (2020)

Elbe Sandstone Mountains, between Pirna and the Czech border, is one of the most romantic landscapes in Germany. The star in these beautiful rocks is an ascetic man with glasses and a pipe: Bernd Arnold - the Saxon climbing legend from Hohnstein. Even as a child, the 'barefoot climber' stuck to the rock like a gecko. And to this day his motto is: 'Overcoming difficult things with ease'. Whoever sees it on the rock does not doubt the veracity of this leitmotif. Nobody has ever climbed these rocks before him so elegantly. But above all, this sentence proves that lightness is not a question of talent. It has to be fought over and over again with the sport. A portrait of Bernd Arnold at 73 years-old.
